I’m Tony Micklus, and I’m proud to serve as your State Representative for Milton and Georgia.
I grew up in South Burlington and have spent most of my life working, raising a family, and building businesses right here in Vermont.
I bring a business-minded, practical approach to solving the challenges Vermont faces today.
In 2004, I founded Information Technology Services, LLC, where I’ve spent over two decades solving real-world problems for local businesses and residents. Today, I continue to run the business with the help of two part-time employees.
I am also transitioning out of real estate after many years in the field, with a planned retirement date of September 30, 2026. During that time, I worked with foreclosure-related properties, giving me firsthand insight into the real impact of housing and economic challenges on Vermont families.
Before serving in the legislature, I spent years working at the local level—on the Milton Economic Development Commission, the Planning Commission, and as Chair of the Planning Commission. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of how decisions made in Montpelier impact our communities on the ground.
Bringing Real-World Experience to Montpelier
I don’t approach policy as theory—I approach it as someone who has had to:
Meet payroll
Navigate regulations
Solve problems when things go wrong
Since being elected, I’ve worked on issues that directly impact Vermonters, including:
Housing and infrastructure development
Workforce expansion through CTE and apprenticeships
Economic growth and reducing barriers for businesses
Consumer protections and fairness in everyday transactions
Serving on the House Commerce & Economic Development Committee, I’ve worked with both Republicans and Democrats to address the real challenges facing our state.
Why I Serve
Vermont is at a turning point—and we need to get this right.
We are facing:
Rising costs
A housing shortage
A workforce gap
I ran for office—and continue to serve—because I believe we can do better.
That means:
Lowering the cost of living
Building more housing
Fixing what isn’t working in Montpelier
A Straightforward Approach
I’m not a career politician.
I’m a business owner, a problem-solver, and someone who believes government should be practical, efficient, and focused on results.
I’ll keep working to make Vermont more affordable, more accessible, and a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
We don’t need more complexity—we need results.
